Anticoagulation Clinic

Central Community Hospital Anticoagulation Clinic reviews patient’s health history, diet, activity and medications. Education and personal interaction with a nurse is provided to the patients. Adjustments are made to the patient’s blood thinner medication (Coumadin) to suit each patient and to help avoid the formation of blood clots that could be harmful.

Most patients who would benefit from the Anticoagulation clinic are patients recovering from heart valve replacements, blood clots of the lung and leg and abnormal rapid heart beat.
